Fifth edition of the Balkan entertainment and gaming industry – BEGE Expo 2012 ended with success

The leading exhibition for entertainment and gaming industry on the Balkans gathered more than 2000 visitors on 16-18 October 2012 in Hall 2 of the Inter Expo Center, Sofia. Among the visitors there were guests from all over Europe – Bulgaria, Italy, Slovenia, Romania, UK, Sweden, Taiwan, Isle of Man, Spain, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Malta and the U.S.

The successful start of BEGE Expo was initiated by our five-time world and twice silver Olympic champion in wrestling – Stanka Zlateva, which cut the ribbon to mark the official opening of the exhibition. This year the organizers surprised the visitors with a plenty of entertainment and a wide range of bulgarian and foreign exhibitors, offering the most innovative products on the market.

Over 40 companies from Bulgaria, Italy, Slovenia, Romania, UK, USA, Sweden, Taiwan, Isle of Man, Spain, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Malta and other countries presented to the audience their latest innovations, which are aimed at operators and customers from the entertainment, casino and gaming industries, gaming remote, mobile technologies and as well the accompanying sectors in tourism, entertainment and leisure. Leading foreign companies were: SEGA, Samsung Electronics, Spielo International, Williams (WMS), Alfa Street, Abbiati, Royal Stool, Suzo International, Intergames, Advansys, Quixant, Microgaming, Play Star Europe Ltd and others. Online sector was represented by SBTech – a leading provider of software and betting which was the official sponsor of the exhibition’s lobby bar, Decart, Microgaming Software, BetConstruct, Systems Ltd and others. The bulgarian companies Casino Technology, Euro Games Technology, Proxima 3, Lazer Press OOD, JPL, Casino Game Innovation have stood out among the others,  being no way inferior to their foreign competitors from the innovation and advanced solutions.

The days of the exhibition were accompanied by a variety of music and entertainment show with participations of singers from PALNETA PAYNER, fashion show with casino uniforms and several product presentations. BEGE Expo launched the contest “Miss Gaming BEGE 2012“, a new initiative of the organizers held with modeling agency Visage. The winners were announced at the annual ceremony of BEGE Awards 2012, on which each year in a row different companies from the industry received their rewards for contribution to the gaming and entertainment industry.

BEGE Expo – the biggest exhibition for entertainment and gaming industry on the Balkans is taking place for fifth year in a row

Yesterday at Inter Expo Center Sofia opened the Balkan entertainment and gaming expo (BEGE Expo).

The visitors had the chance to follow all technology innovations and products as well as having fun with a lot of additional events such as fashion reviews, demonstrations, DJ party and live performances. During the first day of the exhibition there was hold the beauty contest ”Miss Gaming BEGE 2012”, organized together with the leading model agency Visages. The Winner of the competition was Svetlana Yossifova, the favorite of ‘Princess’ casino and the second and third place took the favorites of Alpha Street’ – Graziella Kovacheva and casino ‘Eldorado’ – Velina Uzunova ‘

Real sensation during the first day of the exhibition prompted the Planeta Payner stars – Andrea, Galena and Emilia, who attracted visitors and media attention with their live performances. They were special guests on the Casino Technology booth for the launch of the new game series PLANETA PAYNER SLOTS™, based on their hit video clips where every singer is a heroine in one of the games.

As a tradition, at the end of the first day of the exhibition there took place the BEGE Awards ceremony , awarding Bulgarian and international companies for their innovations and contribution in the entertainment and gaming industry. This year among the honored companies were: Royal Stool Italy in the category Equipment for gaming tables, WMS Gaming for Video-slot games, Konami Gaming for Electronic gaming equipment, JPL for Multiplayer product, Euro games technology for Jackpot systems, Accord games and Interservice Uzunovi for Amusement equipment, Casino Technology for Server-based technology, SBTech for Online betting platform, Spielo International for Casino management system and Quixant for Devices and accessories  .

This year, there were given two special awards as well. The State Commission on Gambling was awarded for its technological initiative and realization of the project “Modern and efficient implementing of state supervision over gambling by building an integrated information system, electronic records and management”. The music company PLANETA PAYNER received a special award for “Cooperation between entertainment sectors with the project PLANETA PAYNER SLOTS™.

For the good mood of the guests there performed the PLANETA PAYNER starring singer Galena. along with the public celebrity Evgeni Minchev, the actress and singer Milenita, the tenor Plamen Shukeyn and performers from the Bulgarian Federation of Acrobatic rock’n’roll.

From 14th to 18th October in Sofia, Bulgaria for the 5th time there will be held two of the biggest events in the Gaming industry of the Eastern Europe: the Eastern European Gaming Summit (EEGS) and the Balkan Entertainment and Gaming Exhibition (BEGE)

The Eastern European Gaming Summit will take place on 14th and 15th October at Metropolitan Hotel, Sofia, putting on discussion the most important topics and the most current tendencies in the Eastern European region.
