WMS about the products at BEGE Expo:

Since the last BEGE Expo have you any changes or new proposals in your product range and what products you will be presenting at this year Show?

In terms of cabinets, at this BEGE show WMS will showcase the BB 2 cabinet and our Wide Screen slant top, and also the Orion’s TwinstarII and Helios cabinets. Our games on display will include new themes in Cascading Reels, Spinning Streak, Hot Hot Super Respin, and of course G+, introducing the very special Transmissive Reels G+ series with a dual standalone progressive! WMS will also bring the Community Gaming concept to Bulgaria, as the pioneers of this platform we are excited to have the opportunity to share it in Bulgaria. The Community Gaming banks will include a daily fee for branding. Group Wins from Orion are also on sale and have no applicable daily fee, which offers another alternative to the Bulgarian operators.

Do you feel the influence of the economic crisis on your business in your country compared to other countries you have branches in?

WMS have been feeling the crisis all over the countries, we are clearly not immune to it. Thanks to a great team and great products, WMS has reached its goals and managed to show good results for last fiscal year, which was translated by the highest share level in August since the company is quoted in the stock exchange. Still, Bulgaria has experienced a big decrease and seemed to have been faced with a big and high wall of economic difficulties these last months. We expect these challenges to improve and the players will soon return to the Bulgarian Casinos.

Do you think that the business climate in the Balkan region is positive for development of investment in the gaming industry?

Given the crisis looks like going backward in the Western countries, we trust the economic situation in the Balkan region will start showing that same tendency in the next few months. As we all know, the economy is cyclical, so a crisis, as hard as it is, doesn’t mean development and investment have to be stopped. In fact, it is in the worst crisis that the best opportunities can be found, and operators should definitely be prepared for the day the economic environment is back to normal, back to the positive growth the Balkan area previously experienced in their first years as new EU members.
